Fragrances

Fragrances are found in most products in the cosmetics industry and are an important ingredient in many shampoos, conditioners and skin care products. What could be better than the delicate smell of freshly washed hair? The different manufacturers use very individual fragrances - from intense to delicate, everything is available. Everybody perceives scents differently and therefore you have to decide for yourself which fragrance is comfortable for you.

Perfumes say a lot about the personality. From delicate and floral to fresh and clear to strong and spicy, you have it all. Fragrances tend to be remembered for a long time and are quickly recognized, as they have an enormously high percentage for us to evaluate products. A particular fragrance can be linked to the induced emotion, whether the fragrance in us has triggered a more positive or negative emotion, does not matter. Fragrances play a very important role in our world, often the fragrance also determines sympathy or antipathy. In the truest sense of the word you can "smell good" or "not smell at all". Every person has their own body odor, plus cosmetic products such as shampoo, shower gel, body lotion or even perfume. Basically, when using fragrances we recommend: less is more, since odors can also quickly achieve an opposite effect. If they are intrusive and unpleasant for other people, they quickly become disliked. For yourself, try out which scent suits you best and makes you feel good.

The origin of the fragrances in cosmetics may be of vegetable or synthetic origin. Especially natural are herbal fragrances that are derived from essential oils of different plant parts. Synthetic fragrances are produced to prevent damage to animals. After all, animal fragrances were also frequently used in the cosmetics industry.

Fragrances often cause allergies and irritation in sensitive, hypersensitive skin. If you have a sensitive skin, you should pay particular attention to a mild cleansing and as natural as possible, gentle ingredients. But herbal ingredients such as chamomile, marigold or arnica can cause skin irritation. This could be due to an incompatibility. However, not only the fragrance is responsible for irritation, often also preservatives and emulsifiers are not tolerated by the skin. If you notice itching or even rash after using a product, you should definitely switch to another product. An allergy test also provides information on the incompatibility of certain substances. Frequently, allergies are not triggered by the fragrance itself, but by oxidation products that arise in the air. Research has shown that essential oils derived from parts of plants are often better tolerated than synthetic fragrances.

Kérastase is known for its delicate, pleasant and unobtrusive fragrances. The hair feels fresh and smells wonderful, but not too intense. If you like intensive fragrances, TIGI is the right choice. Like Kérastase, TIGI has several product lines that are suitable for a variety of hair textures. The fragrances are intense and last a long time in the hair. The feeling of freshness remains long and is particularly intense after shampooing.

Paul Mitchell works completely without animal testing and without animal substances. Tea tree oil, lavender or citrus provide an intense, natural scent with a long-lasting freshness.
