Hair growth
Healthy, full hair is equally appealing to men and women. Men with full hair are considered to be more attractive, and for women, hair is an embodiment of their femininity. Therefore, a lot of time is spent on hair care and healthy hair growth is an important issue.
But what does healthy hair growth look like?
Each hair undergoes three phases in its lifetime. It grows, goes into rest and falls out after 2-6 years. Hair loss is therefore a natural and normal process, if the number of hairstyles does not exceed 100 per day.
The growth phase is the longest phase, it lasts 2-6 years. The hair then enters the transition / rest phase and then falls out.
The hair grows on average 1cm per month. The rate of hair growth is genetically predisposed and can not be significantly accelerated. But good hair care tailored to your hair can affect how healthy and vital your hair is. Also a good blood circulation of the scalp stimulates the hair cells at the roots and a healthy growth is made possible.
The most common cause of premature hair loss or hair breakage is lack of moisture. The use of straighteners, hair dryer, and curling iron and by external influences, the hair is severely strained. The structure of the hair dries up, becomes brittle and dull. Therefore, you should always pay attention to an optimal hydration of your hair. The more you style your hair and shape it with heat, the more moisture your hair needs. But which care is right for your hair? For every hair type, there is an optimal care, which is specially tailored to the needs of stressed, damaged, fine, unruly and curly hair.
But a varied, healthy diet also contributes significantly to normal hair growth. Persistent stress has a negative effect on hair growth and can even promote hair loss. Make sure you reduce the stress level as quickly as possible and plan regular breaks, then the hair loss regulates by itself and the hair grows back.
A myth is that the hair grows faster with regular cutting. The hair grows on the hairline, so the roots, not at the tips. Regular haircuts, however, ensure that the hair stays healthy and the dry tips are removed. This makes the hair appear thicker and fuller. A regular walk to the barber is therefore recommended.
Especially wet hair is extremely sensitive. It is advisable to let your hair dry before brushing it. Even then, you should proceed very carefully, because in the wet or damp state most hair breakage takes place.
On average, every person has about 100,000 hairs on their heads, of which about 100 naturally fall out each day. The average thickness of the hair is 0.1 millimeters, but with age the hair becomes thinner.
With proper care, you can give your hair strength and resilience.
