Highlights
Great highlights, a beautiful color depth and more visual fullness you can conjure up with highlights in your hair. Highlights are available in all sorts of colors, but above all the technology is important. Many and fine highlights make a natural look, wider highlights are more noticeable. The strands make the hair look fuller and have an interesting, lively structure.
Which techniques are there?
Foil strands
Strands add nuances to your hair. For example, you can achieve the beach look with shining highlights through strands. The individual strands are divided and painted with color. For the exposure time, the strands are wrapped in aluminum foil so that they remain separated from the other hair. This technique depends on fine work. This creates a natural result.
Block strands
The hair is divided into thick strands and treated with color. This creates a striking look that is rarely used today. But who knows, every trend repeats itself at some point.
Dip Dye Hair
With this look, the root is colored dark, the lower part of the hair is very light colored. The transition between the two colors is rich in contrast and is very strong. Those who are not that brave should opt for the Ombré look.
Ombré look
In the Ombré look, the roots are left dark, dark colored or tinted. The lower 2/3 (or even 1/3, depending on taste) are colored lighter. This creates an eye-catching gradient, but with a smooth transition. It creates a natural and fresh look, almost as if kissed by the sun. It is important to set to soft color transitions.
Balayage technique
The hair is divided into sections of different widths and the color is applied by hand to the hair in freestyle. In most cases, several harmonizing and intermeshing colors are chosen. The freehand technique creates beautiful soft and natural strands. The transitions between the dyed and natural hair are very flowing and look interesting and radiant at the same time. Another advantage is that the strands are not attached directly to the hairline, but lower down. This does not create an root after a short time.
Paintings
The painting technique is very similar to the balayage technique. The strands are applied freehand with a brush on the hair and it creates a flowing, soft transition. In addition, the growing out hairline does not stand out and the desired hairstyle lasts longer.
Tone-on-tone highlights
In this technique, an absolutely natural result in the foreground. Mostly three harmonizing shades are used, giving the hair a wonderful depth and extra optical volume.
Highlights are available in all colors. From purple, green and blue to red, blond and brown - everything your heart desires - you will find on the shelves today. But caution is needed here. If you want to play it safe, go to a professional hairdresser. Since the hairdresser works with high quality colors and knows exactly what colors are suitable for your original hair and what is possible. So-called low lights are darker strands, highlights are lighter strands and red lights are strands of red. If you want to change your hair color, you can also achieve this with strands. The transformation is then gentler on the hair, as not all lots are dyed.
