Pigments
Pigments are mainly used in hair coloring and are predeveloped color molecules. Unlike color precursors, which are used in the permanent hair color, pigments are already developed in color and penetrate not so deep into the hair structure, but are deposited only on the hair surface. They work without developers, because they are already predeveloped.
In permanent hair colors, which penetrate deeper into the hair structure in principle by the color precursors, pigments are often also used in addition to achieve a higher luminosity and shine.
Every natural hair has its own pigments. This results in different natural hair colors. About half of all European women dye or tint their hair to either cover grey hair or change their type. With fancy, natural or radiant pigments can beautify or change any hair. Many want to nuance their natural hair color or achieve a particularly high brightness with hair color. Others just want to change their type completely and try something new. From red, brown, black, blue, pink or turquoise - there are a variety of shades that consist of interesting pigments.
However, before you decide on a hair color, you should determine your initial hair color exactly and in case of doubt, always take the advice of the hairdressing professionals. Because the process of hair coloring is a very complex process in which different components play a role.
