It's time again! Every year in September everyone gets into a Wiesn intoxication. Do you already have the perfect outfit and hairstyle for the Munich Beer Festival? When I think of the Munich Beer Festival, I have dirndls and braided hairstyles in mind. But also open hair, stuck up or simply twisted in can become the perfect Wiesn look with the right tricks.
We will show you some examples to imitate.
The hairstyles
Before you start styling, comb your hair thoroughly.
The braided plait: The braided plait is very simple and uncomplicated. Comb the hair backwards and divide it into three strands. Then weave alternately over each other. Done!
The braid braided on the side: The braid braided on the side is actually styled just like the single braid. The difference is that you comb your hair to one side and braid the hair so that it lies over your shoulder.
Two French braids: The French braid is characterized by the fact that it is braided close to the head. Divide the hair into two parts on the side. Start with one side. Divide three strands and braid once normally, then always add one strand from the rest of the hair until all the hairs on one side are braided. Now do the same on the other side.
The braided bun: One of the simplest hairstyles that still looks special is the braided bun. You make yourself a ponytail, as far up as possible. Weave the ponytail as normal and then roll it up into a bun and fasten it with clasps. As an alternative to braiding, you can also use a hair pouff to create a voluminous bun.
Twisted half plait: Cut two small strands at the front of the plait. Each strand is then twisted into itself and both plaits are joined at the back of the head. With a decorative clasp you can then attach the whole thing to the back of the head.
Upside down Bun: With the Upside down Bun you put the hair over your head and braid everything like with a French braid. Put the remaining hairs together in a bun. Et voilà - The bun with the pretty braided detail on the back of the head is finished.
Herringbone pot: A classic among the more elaborate braided hairstyles is the herringbone pot. Divide your hair into two equal strands. Now take a thin strand from the outside of the right strand and place it over the large strand of hair from which you took the small strand. Drop it to the other large strand on the left. Now do the same with a small strand from the left side. Continue braiding until you have reached the end of the braid. Fix with braid rubber. For a romantic look you can loosen the braid a bit by pulling the loops slightly.
At the moment totally hip - and often seen on the first weekend of the Munich Beer Festival - the elaborate flower decoration in the hair is a special highlight. You can make a simple plait or bun or twist in a few strands and then enhance the whole thing with beautiful floral decorations. Of course the flower decoration also fits perfectly to the braided hairstyles.
Tips for the perfect hairstyle
Do not wash your hair fresh before hairdressing. The hair will then have a better grip and be fuller. But you can also use dry shampoo and salt or styling spray to help your hair get a better grip. This is especially advantageous for braided hairstyles. Alternatively, you can also prepare the hair with a curling iron.
