Product favourites of the hair-shop team

"I always like to try something new. However, I also have extremely low-maintenance hair, which does very well with most of the products I have tried or used so far.

But my current favourite is definitely the Davines A Single Shampoo. Cool design, natural ingredients and 100% carbon neutral. It's also 98.2% biodegradable and 95% natural, which is great for sustainability.

The shampoo is quite liquid and doesn't foam that much. But I really don't think that is a disadvantage."

"I love the scent and the feel of Kérastase Résistance Ciment Thermique! I am aware that the product itself has the effect of protecting against heat. But still, the scent of my hair is (almost) more important to me than the effect. The hair smells so nice and fresh and slightly fruity after using this hairdryer care. Moreover, the hair is velvety soft without being weighed down.
The application is very simple.
I have very fine and thinning hair that reaches just below my chin. But I've also used the product on longer hair and with extensions and it convinced me just as much there."

"I have several favourite products that should never be missing from my bathroom.
My favourite hair care is Olaplex No.4 and No.5. Since I have been using these products, my hair breaks significantly less. I have highlighted strands and have been using these products for about two years now. I hardly have any split ends and I am simply thrilled. The shampoo is super rich and lathers up nicely. The conditioner makes it smooth. My hair looks very well cared for and has a beautiful shine. For me, an absolute must-have for all those who bleach their hair, colour it lighter or have very damaged hair.

Second must-have - this time in the area of styling. I never blow dry or straighten my hair without my beloved ghd Bodyguard Heat Protect Spray. I think high quality heat protection is the name of the game. The smell of this spray is unlike any other product. It doesn't stick to the hair, but wraps around it like an invisible protective film. I would say I've probably used 10 bottles of it in the last few years.

But every now and then my hair needs an extra dose of care. That's when I use the Kérastase Nutritive 8H Magic Night Serum. Either I apply it directly after shampooing to towel-dried hair and let it work in, or I apply it to dry lengths and ends before going to bed for an extra dose of moisture. The serum is absorbed directly without leaving the hair looking sticky. It's a great product especially for summer when the sun dries out the hair more."

"I have dark, short hair that is increasingly turning grey. For shampoo, I usually use something from SEB MAN and, in between, Paul Mitchell's Shampoo Two for cleansing.

For styling, I usually go for TIGI Matte Separation or Kevin Murphy Night Rider. Since my hands dry out very quickly in winter, I like to treat myself to a Kocostar Hand Moisture Pack in the evening in front of the TV. For in-between times, a Maria Nila hand lotion is my favourite because it is absorbed super quickly and doesn't grease the keyboard."

"I have longer, fine, coloured hair that is a little dry in the lengths. But because I like volume although my hair is dry - and this is often not possible with richer hair care products - I absolutely love Kevin Murphy Young Again Wash and the matching conditioner Kevin Murphy Young Again Rinse. The products care for the hair in a rich way, but also give it more body at the same time. I have rarely found this combination before. After shampooing, I apply Kérastase Nutritive 8H Magic Night Serum to the towel-damp lengths of my hair, because it doesn't weigh it down either, but makes the hair even smoother. When I straighten my hair with the ghd Gold Styler, I use the Kérastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique instead of the 8H Magic Night Serum, because it also contains heat protection."
