Spring in your hair
The days are getting longer again, the sun appears more often and the outfits are finally lighter. How much we look forward to exchanging the heavy winter coat for a thin trench coat, or finally being able to wear the denim jacket again. Of course, the dark season had its charms too, but now we long for sun, spring flowers and the first evenings that you don't have to spend cuddled up on the sofa because outside is "bad weather", as we hamburgers say.
Of course you need the right hairstyle for the first spring outfits. As Christian Dior once said: "Flowers are, apart from women, the most beautiful gift God has given the world." We will show you how the first spring flowers can be used to create a more discreet look for the office as well as hairstyles for special occasions. Whether a Sunday brunch with friends or a spring wedding - a hairstyle with a floral highlight is something special and pleases every observer.
Flower wreath DIY

The classic among flower hairstyles is definitely the floral wreath. You can buy them ready-made, but much more beautiful and individual is the homemade wreath. The production does not require an extraordinary talent for handicrafts, and you can let your preferences regarding flowers, colours or volume run wild and adapt it to the occasion. It is important to make sure that the flowers used are as fresh as possible in order to keep up such a use. After all, we want to look like blossoming spring and not a short time later already after wilted autumn. For the wreath itself you will need your favourite flowers, scissors, self-adhesive green flower ribbon and wire of about 1 mm diameter. This will be formed into a ring, or even double. It is best to adjust the right size to your own head. Then the selected flowers are shortened to about 5-6 cm and arranged into small bouquets. Arrange them on the wire and fix them with the green flower tape so that each bouquet covers the stems of the previous bouquet. The finish will be a bit tricky, but you can also elegantly fill a remaining space with a bow or ribbon in a matching colour, which you simply leave hanging at the back of the head. By the way, a wreath of flowers stands for big and small, and is also a nice common family springtime activity for the afternoon or the weekend.
Such a wreath of flowers looks great on gently curled hair with airy volume. For this purpose, a walnut-sized amount of retaining foam is spread in the hair, e.g. Paul Mitchell FlexibleStyle Sculpting Foam. Now the hair is turned on large heat rollers, such as the Babyliss Pro Jumbo heat rollers. These rollers create very natural, volumizing waves in shoulder-length hair. After cooling down, remove the rollers and do not brush them. Simply run your fingers through the hair and fix them with hairspray. Now the wreath of flowers can be placed and the spring look is ready.
Loose flowers - Bun

The hair is loosely tied into a braid. You can get a good grip on the hair by spreading some Sea Salt Spray in the lengths beforehand. Then the hair is slightly backcombed in the direction of the scrunchy and the braid is twisted in. Now you wrap it up loosely. When you have reached the end of the braid, fix it with Bobby Pins all around. You may loosen some strands slightly, because the chignon should not look too careful or even strict in this case. Now you fix, also with bobby pins, some stems or mini twigs, best with small, delicate flowers all around. Gypsophila, for example, is suitable here. Of course, this also works in the lateral variant, but the lateral chignon looks more elegant if it is placed lower down. The spring flowers are then simply inserted from above in this variation.

Twisted upper head

The hair will be placed in the center parting. Then one strand of hair is slowly twisted backwards on each side, picking up the hair below in small strands and twisting it in. At the back of the head, the strand of hair is pinned with a clasp. Now small flowers are carefully inserted from above into the twisted strands.
Another option: Where the two strands meet, the hair is combined in a plaited braid with the inclusion of further under hair. The braid can then also be embellished with flowers.

Loose, lateral banana
A casual variation of the popular classic is a nice alternative to the usual updo. First of all, the upper hair is combined at the sides and fixed with Bobby Pins. The remaining undercoat is divided into individual strands, each of which is formed into a kind of roll and then pinned with Bobby Pins from the inside. This is intentionally not done too neatly. Then some fresh spring flowers are put into the resulting loose roll. You can also apply a shine spray (such as Kevin Murphy Young Again Shimmer Shine 100ml) to the top of the head to make the hair look shiny and well-groomed and prevent frizz. The lower head is fixed with a hairspray that gives hold.
