Many shampoos use silicones. These enclose the hair to make it shiny and supple. The disadvantage of this material is that inferior silicones are not water-soluble and thus remain in the hair, which can dry out the hair in the long run. It is recommended to use at certain intervals so-called deep cleansing shampoos, which rid the hair of all residues such as silicones, chlorine, styling residues, etc.
For better cleaning shampoos are enriched with sulfates. However, these can irritate the skin and lead to dehydration or itching.
Parabens in shampoos are said to prevent the formation of mold and bacteria. They thus act as a preservative to make the product last longer. Parabens are considered responsible for allergies.
If you do not want to use silicones, sulfates and parabens in your shampoo, we recommend that you use one of the hair care products shown here, which can do without these substances.
